Day 3: Hands-On Practice and Getting Comfortable

Today was all about getting my hands dirty with the basics — HTML and CSS. I spent the day coding along with a tutorial, building a simple webpage from scratch. I know people say you shouldn’t just follow tutorials, and they’re right. But honestly? I feel like this phase is helping me get more comfortable with the flow of writing code. It’s like training wheels before I can ride solo!

    What I Did Today

    1. HTML & CSS Practice
I followed a beginner-friendly tutorial that walked me through creating a basic webpage layout. It was nothing fancy, just a header, some paragraphs, a navigation bar, and a footer. But it felt good to see something come together with code I wrote!
    2. GitHub Setup
I finally made a GitHub account and uploaded the webpage I built. It feels awesome to have a space to showcase my work, even if it’s super basic right now. Plus, I know getting used to Git and GitHub is a must as a web dev, so why not start early?

It’s satisfying to actually build something, even if it’s small. Sure, following a tutorial isn’t the most creative process, but it’s helping me get familiar with syntax, structure, and the tools. It’s like warming up before the big game. I already feel a bit more confident than I did yesterday, which is progress in my book!
